Textilene for extra comfort

The Marbella deckchairs are solid and well suited to outdoor use. Textilene doesn't fade with the weather and the fabric hugs your body while letting it breathe in the heat. The wood is-certified Uruguayan eucalyptus. It is hard, resistant and coated with a tinted oil that protects it while leaving it as close to its original colour as possible. Uruguayan eucalyptus is perfectly dried after cutting, sanded and treated with protective oil.

The structure of these loungers is coated with a tinted oil during manufacture. The saturation of the oil varies according to the type of wood. A small residue may remain. Be sure to remove this with a cloth before the first use. You do not need to oil your new garden furniture, you can wait until the end of summer.
Eucalyptus is a living material. As a result, its appearance changes over time and some cracks appear. This is normal and is what gives hardwood its much-appreciated authentic charm. Although robust and weather-resistant, Eucalyptus requires a little maintenance to prolong its life.
On a daily basis, remove leaves, standing water and dust. Wash stains with soapy water and a sponge. If your structure is very dirty, you can use a small hard brush.
In spring and late summer, clean your garden furniture thoroughly and allow it to dry. Once the woodwork is completely dry, apply a thin layer of oil. Make sure it does not rain for 24 hours after applying the oil.
If your eucalyptus deckchairs have been exposed to a lot of rain, you may notice that the surface fibres have swollen a little and that the whole thing feels rougher. To remedy this, lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper until it is smooth. Once you have finished sanding, apply a coat of oil to bring the deckchairs back to their original colour.
The oil coating is what keeps the furniture from staining and allows it to withstand pollution, weathering and mildew. If you choose to let your eucalyptus furniture age without applying oil twice a year, it will take on a nice silver colour. However, it will no longer be protected.

Advice

- It is important to winterise your eucalyptus garden furniture. Store it in a cool, airy place away from moisture. If you protect it with a cover, choose a polyester cover over a PVC one.
- Do not expose your garden chairs to direct or excessive heat.
