Banco is a lovely acacia wood bench that will easily find its place in your garden or on your terrace. With a deep seat of 60 cm and a backrest, the bench offers appreciable comfort.
Acacia wood is a hardwood suitable for outdoor use. That of Banco comes from Vietnamese plantations. In order to be able to be installed in the garden upon receipt, the bench is already coated with oil.

Maintenance Details

The structure of this bench is covered with tinted oil during its manufacture. The oil impregnation varies depending on the wood species. There may be a small residue. Be sure to remove it with a cloth before the first use. You do not need to oil your new bench; you can wait until the end of the summer.
Acacia is a living material. Therefore, its appearance changes over time, and some cracks appear. This is normal and is what gives the authentic charm of hardwood. Although sturdy and weather-resistant, acacia requires some maintenance to extend its lifespan.
In everyday life, remove leaves, stagnant water, and dust. Clean stains with soapy water and a sponge. If your structure is very dirty, you can use a small stiff brush.
In spring and at the end of summer, clean your garden furniture well and let it dry. Once the woodwork is completely dry, apply a thin layer of oil. Please ensure that it will not rain within 24 hours after oiling.
If your acacia bench has been exposed to a lot of rain, you may notice that the surface fibers have swelled a bit and that the overall texture is rougher to the touch. To remedy this, lightly sand with fine-grit sandpaper until you achieve a smooth appearance. After sanding, apply a layer of oil to restore the garden furniture to its original color.
The oil layer is what protects garden furniture from stains and allows it to withstand pollution, weather, and mold. If you choose to let your acacia furniture age without applying oil twice a year, it will take on a lovely silvery color. However, it will no longer be protected.

Precautions

 
It is important to winterize your acacia garden furniture. Store it away from moisture in a cool, ventilated place. If you protect it with a cover, prefer polyester covers to PVC ones.
Do not place your bench in direct or excessive heat.
