An outdoor solar shower is very useful. It doesn’t need electricity as it works entirely by solar power. It’s great for rinsing chlorine off your body after swimming, or simply to refresh on an especially hot day. You can place it wherever you like, on your terrace or patio.
How does it work?
To use your solar shower all you need to do is connect it to the water supply using your regular garden hose and fill up the tank. The water stored in the tank will be heated up by the sun’s rays. The tank, made of PVC will absorb the UV rays. The water will heat-up in 2-3 hours, depending on the size of the tank. You can even continue to use your shower on cloudy days as the water will heat up with UV rays. However, the energy yield result will not be quite the same.
Generally delivered as part of a kit, the shower is extremely easy to assemble. All you need to do is fix it into the ground and attach it to a water supply. You don’t need a large space to place the shower. About 2m in height and 2m in width of space are required to install your shower.
Alice’s Garden’s solar showers come with either 20L or 35L tanks. They allow you to rinse off after a swim or workout or refresh yourself on a hot day. A thermostat allows you to control the temperature of the water that can reach up to 60°C in optimum conditions. The shower will have either 1, or multiple jets, depending on which model you purchase.
The Advantages Of Having an Outdoor Solar Shower
Not only practical, but the solar shower is also a decorative accessory for your outdoor space. Stylish for the design conscious and great value for money. Running on just the sun’s rays, the installation process is quick and easy.
No more traipsing inside to shower after using your hot tub and no need to trek dirt into the house after a particularly muddy football match. What's even better yet, you’ll even save on your hot water bill.
